I bought 2 of these lamps from Ikea for my daughters' room because we had just painted the walls a hot pink color and I thought they would match perfectly.I was right, the color was perfect, but after a couple of hours of the lamp being on it got so hot that it burnt a hole through the top of the plastic "shade"!!!!We thought maybe it was just the one lamp and the other would be fine, but again, after a couple of hours use we smelled burning plastic - sure enough it was burning a hole through the shade. We used the correct bulbs according to the instructions and put them together the best we could but everything seemed a little "off" no matter how many times we unscrewed and screwed it.
Also, I picked these up for $4.99 at the Ikea store here in Houston and I don't think they were even worth that, so at this price you're really getting ripped off!
