Adjustable Desk Lamp from Destination Lighting Review

Lamp is much bigger than shown and has different proportions - the arm is really, really long - but the stupidest thing is that the 100 watt bulb throws out only as much light as a 40 watt bulb, so it's a very dim light and very dark yellow. Call me crazy, but when you purchase a 100-watt halogen bulb you expect to have a bright light. But no - this is a J-type bulb and to get a bright light, guess what you have to do? You have to purchase a 300 or 500 watt bulb! So you have the pleasure of paying for four times the amount of power in order to get same lumens (light output is measured in lumens)as a bulb that uses a quarter of the power! Why do these bulbs even exist? Lamp is too heavy to return as retailer makes customer pay postage, so I'm going to throw this useless piece of rubbish away and never, ever buy from Destination Lighting again.
