A few things about this lamp that will give one pause. It is a lot of money for LED technology that really is not new or expensive to manufacture. The arms of the lamp are long which mandates that the base be quite large. The work-around is the supplied clamp-on base. I found that using the clamp-on base is unacceptable because it marred my desk. The aforementioned arms were wobbly in their fit and sagged on extension. On the plus side, the lamp offers several levels of illumination that cover a generous area without harsh shadows. The red paint finish is well done and looks nice. The design is striking and looks extremely sleek.
If this lamp were priced at about half of its current price it would be a nice deal.
