Rite Lite LPL904 4 LED Book / Computer Light Review

I just received this yesterday and my 9 year old son really likes it. It is very small, lightweight, and can be clipped to a book or laptop computer or even placed standing-up on a nightstand. There are 2 clips on the unit: The one in the picture slips over a book. There is another one on the back that is spring-loaded and can be pulled out to put the light on a laptop computer.

The telescoping arms don't extend very far (maybe 6-8"), but it is fine for the intended purpose. One great feature is the rotating head. It can rotate 360 degrees so that you can aim the light exactly where it is needed. The beam is wide enough to easily light up a full-size book, even when attached directly to it. The light also has a 3-way on/off switch that cycles between full-on, a bit dimmer, and off. This is nice if the full-on is too bright for you. I think this light is a great bargain at Amazon's price.

New York Mets Tiffany Table Lamp Review

This is actually my second of these lamps. the first lamp I killed when I used the wrong size bulb and the top melted away the lamp was a total loss. I was devastated so I bought another one now I have the right size bulb and it was a great addtion to my office. I really enjoy it and I get a lot of compliments on it.

White Clip On Lamp Review

I bought two of these. One broke almost immediately. The clamp spring jumped out of position and I could not get it back in place. The swivel action on the second lamp went south shortly after. The lamp had one position after that.. facing "south".Good idea, but poor construction.

Blue LED Fiber Lamp Review

The blue light through the fibers is plenty light in a dark room.Of course I wish there were more fibers, and perhaps there are other lamps available with more, but this one works fine.It is battery operated, and thus it is mobile, which is a good idea if you have kids who like to wave it around and play with it.The bottom-heavy stand keeps it upright.So far, none of the fibers have become bent or tangled.Recommended.

Z-Bar High Power LED Lamp- Metallic Black/Warm Review

I have had this lamp for 24 hours.It appears to be well-made and provides adequate light at the top two settings, but be aware that LED lights like this one light the work space just below but provide relatively little diffused light to the surrounding area.Each of the three arms is about 14 inches, so you need a work space of about 2 feet square to use it comfortably.The "warm" light seems about the same color to me as the halogen I used before, though not quite as bright. The arrangement of six lights along a 14-inch arm means that I can position it so that my hand doesn't cast a shadow on what I'm writing, a boon to left-handers.I particularly like the fact that it uses very little power.And, most important, it really looks cool on my desk.

Alabaster Glass Piano Lamp Review

I am very pleased with this piano lamp.It is nicely crafted with a heavy base to keep it from tipping and a foam bottom to protect my upright piano.The glass provides an elegant touch and I do get plenty of light directed right where I need it.

I had to assemble the lamp out of the box.Basically, the top had to be screwed onto the base, but the glass shade was installed upside down at the factory.I had to unscrew it and turn it upright, but that was a minor inconvenience.

This lamp does not look cheap, which is always a concern when buying online.I am happy with how beautifully it fits into my decor.In fact, it is one piece of furniture I do pass by just to admire.

Southwest Turquoise Décor - 20" Azure Glazed Ceramic Jar Desk / Table Lamp - JCO-X4014 Review

I received this lamp and am disappointed in poor workmanship. The jar is placed off center on the base and it has large gaps between two parts of the jar. In addition, the coloring and glazing are sloppy leaving gray areas around and underneath the jar.

The color is beautiful though and the lamp is large and makes a statement in my room. Too bad you can clearly see poor workmanship close up.

Polished Satin Finish Gooseneck Eye Clip on Reading Desk Lamp Review

I have had these lights for sometime now and they work with my display at trade shows very well. I also use them when teaching drawing to shine a light on my subjects. I removed the safety cage because they were falling off anyway and I didn't like the look of them. They run rather hot thought so I warn people not to touch them. The base that I received was not flat on the bottom and therefore rocks on the desk. Also when the lamp is extended out any distance the whole assembly falls over. The base feels fairly heavy but was unusable for its intended purpose.I had wanted to use the base so that the lamp could be moved around easily, instead I ended up just clamping the lamp to the desk.

I'm not sure how Lamps Beautiful, the companythat sells this product on Amazon.com managed to get "Excellent customer service--see our feedback" included as part of the PRODUCT NAME, but nice job! I have no qualms about the Lamps Beautiful company, nor its undoubtedly excellent customer service--I did not buy this lamp from them.However, I used this lamp for awhile until I decided I didn't like the heat emitted from the halogen bulb.The lamp's design offers very little protection, and the heat became uncomfortable at times.I suppose the lamp would be more functional if not used as a desk lamp; you could place it further away from where you work.One other caveat:The price here seems more expensive than what I paid for it several years ago. Prices go up, and this may be the best you can do, but if you have time you might want to shop around a little. Other than that, I'd recommend the lamp, especially if its spare, "modern" look goes with your office furnishings. It's a heavy lamp, and the glass contrasts nicely with the black metal and other accents.The dimmer switch proved very useful and worked fine.

Rite Lite LPL756 18 LED Work Task Light Review

This is a battery operated (batteries not included, uses 6 x AA) worklight with 18 white LEDs. The LEDs are only on one side of the hex shaped light so it gives out light in one direction only, not in all directions. I find this not to be a problem in most cases. Another reviewer was disappointed with the brightness compared to a fluorescent worklight. It's much less bright but then again it doesn't have to be plugged in.
It's not apparent from the product photo but the light is really 2 separate halves: the lighting part with the LEDs and the battery pack half. Both halves are held together by strong magnets so in normal handling the light is one piece but can be pulled apart (joined by a coiled cable) if you want to separate the two for say working in a confined space. This feature is also great if you want to pretend to be a ninja and use the light as nunchucks, although I don't recommend swinging the light around.
The light half is magnetized all around the body so it will stick to any metal surface. There's also a hanging hook and a twist-out floor stabilizer on the battery pack half (which makes it easier to rest on a floor without the thing falling over). There's also a mounting bracket that the light drops into for storage on a wall etc (which I didn't bother installing).
There are two levels of brightness, if the light is off the 1st button press will turn on at max brightness. The second dims the light somewhat, and the 3rd press turns off.
There is one flaw: if you rest it on the floor the light shines parallel to the floor, you can't tilt or angle the light either up or down. If this could be done this would be much more useful in my opinion.
Still it's a useful light, just don't pay full price for it.

Icelight High Power LED Silver Desk Lamp, Warm White Illumination Review

I really like this light.It is a tad pricey, I'll grant, but it's worth it. The LED elements are recessed, so the light goes straight down to where you want it. And since it swivels every which way, you can direct that light anywhere you want. The four brightness settings give a useful range of illumination. Since it uses LEDs, there is practically no waste heat. And it looks good.I've had a lot of desk lamps over the years.This is by far the best one.

Flexible Table Lamp, Brushed Nickel Review

This is a great product for the price.Looks good, works well and can be used as either bedside or desk lamps. They are a bit too small to actually use as table lamps in a living room setting, so my only criticism is their descriptive name which perhaps should be termed "bedside/desk lamp", given their size.

OTT-LITE VisionSaver Plus¿« Vero Table Lamp Review

The clearcoat finish over brushed aluminum makes this an attractive lamp. The fact that the lamp quit working on the day after I bought it makes it horrible. I picked one up at Lowes for $79.95. It worked about 5 or 6 times and then failed completely. It looks good on my desk, to bad I can only see it during the day when I don't need it.

Ivory EasyFlex Deluxe Floor Lamp Review

The lamp looks very cool and modern and the spectrum of the light is very pleasing, but it is so dim that it is not useful for me. The low setting also flickers noticeably, but since the bright setting is already too dim, why use the low setting? One other thing that I wish they had done better: the switch is difficult to work from below.
I like the little tray - it has a little indentation which is perfect for reading glasses (which I need because the light is too dim.)
Did I mention that the light is too DIM? :)

Solarex Sun Lamp Review

This lamp has a bright white light that I use on my desk at work. I am unsure if it really contributes to my mood or not, but I work in an office with virtually no natural light and this definitely helps brighten my mood and makes staring at a computer screen for hours seem not so bad. There is no eye strain with this light, and it is super bright. The only draw back I think this product has is that the base of the lamp is rather big to sit on your desk. If I were to purchase this again, I would get the floor lamp. Otherwise, a good buy.

This lamp is too simple for the price.The seams on the lamp are so huge and obvious.During the assembly, I notice the bottom portion that hides the cord was loosely glued on.But that will not show once the lamp is upright.I could have gone to Walmart and get much better quality lamps for much less.

Assembly was semi-easy.The only difficult parts were threading the cord through the bottom so that the top portions could be screwed in properly and getting the shades leveled. None of this was not addressed in the pitiful instructions, so that took a lot of time of adjusting the harp to get the leveling precise.

Z-Bar High Power Cool LED Desk Lamp - Red Review

A few things about this lamp that will give one pause. It is a lot of money for LED technology that really is not new or expensive to manufacture. The arms of the lamp are long which mandates that the base be quite large. The work-around is the supplied clamp-on base. I found that using the clamp-on base is unacceptable because it marred my desk. The aforementioned arms were wobbly in their fit and sagged on extension.

On the plus side, the lamp offers several levels of illumination that cover a generous area without harsh shadows. The red paint finish is well done and looks nice. The design is striking and looks extremely sleek.

If this lamp were priced at about half of its current price it would be a nice deal.

Optic Desk Lamp - Silver Review

There are, in my opinion, at least three reasons to shell out the bucks for this light.

First, it has a small footprint and fits easily on my (always) overcrowded workstation desk.

Second, the light is energy efficient as it is LED source, and, consumes very little electricity given the lumens output.I don't feel guilty about walking away from my desk with this light still on.

Third, it looks cool.The base sheds a neat looking pool of light over your desk wherever you place the light, and, the angular arm is easy to position to direct brighter light to any position on your desk without interferring with display brightness, or, creating reflections on the LCD display screens.
