So simple and so useful. It works like a charm and if you don't finish the apple (or Asian pear, or any other firm fruit) just leave the slicer attached and stick the whole thing in the fridge until you want it, The fruit won't oxidize or pick up any unusual flavors.
I like to have 1 or 2 on a cheese tray and let guests play with it.
