The "shades" really are made of wax, so I was a little disappointed to find that when the lamps arrived, one of them had been a little bit warped. It's not too bad, though, and definitely gives more of an impression of it being a real candle. However, the light the photograph shows it giving off isn't nearly as much as you would think. In the dark, they hardly give off any light at all, even if you're just going for an "ambient" effect. The "pillars" aren't as tall as the photo would indicate, either, and they're fatter. The verdigris "patina" is kind of slopped on, and they don't look nearly as well put-together as you would think. All in all, a little disappointing. The wax "shades" are too thick to let any appreciable light through them, and I actually get better light from a real candle. If they even made it so that they looked like they were flickering, it would have been better, but they don't, nor did I expect them to do. I'm not so disappointed that I'd send them back, but they were kind of a bummer. But for twenty dollars, I wasn't expecting a really quality product. Just slightly better than what I received. As for the delivery, they said four days after purchase, and they meant it. So that's great. Good seller, meh product.
