Fillable Glass Block Table Lamp Review

In order to place anything inside of the glass box, you have to turn the lamp on its side, unscrew the base from beneath and slide it back along the cord, away from the post. I don't see how items can be made to stand on the base inside the lamp. The picture shows objects that would have to be placed inside with the lamp standing, by sliding the topmost piece of glass up along the post. The lamp itself looks as shown and works fine, but I am disappointed that I cannot truly us it as a display case.
