I got this lamp because I have some detail painting that I needed to do.The thing was that I didn't really want to spend $60.00-$80.00 dollars for something I'm not going to use very often.Even though this lamp didn't have any reviews on it I decided to take a chance and boy am I glad I did!I received the lamp yesterday and man am I happy I didn't go out and spend all that money on another lamp!This lamp is fantastic!You know that saying, "Good things come in small packages?"Well, they were talking about this lamp when they wrote it.The top of the lamp lifts up-that's where the magnifier is-the light is a florescent bulb, but don't hold that against it.It is bright, but it doesn't hurt your eyes; as for the magnifier it's very powerful.Great for any detail work that needs doing from sewing to removing splinters!Get this lamp while the price is low!Wow!5 Stars for the little lamp that could!
