Globe 5210901 Energy Saving Desk Lamp, White Review

This is a low cost desk lamp that gives you plenty of light, a flexible goose neck, energy efficiency, and a good price.The construction and appearance are nothing elaborate, but appropriate for the price. I give it five stars as a desk lamp in that price range.

It uses a GU24 bulb, which has a special base. Thus, you cannot easily substitute another bulb. A replacement bulb can cost $7-$10 on Amazon, which you might view as a negative. Or you might view it as a positive, since the lamp was a mere $4.74 more than the included bulb alone. The bulb gives you plenty of light, but not plenty of heat.

If you are looking for a lamp that uses this bulb anyway, then it boils down to style vs function. It is rather plain looking, but using it is truly illuminating.
